Donor Eggs Treatment
For some couples treatment using the females eggs is not possible or appropriate, as circumstances beyond their control mean that using their own eggs would not offer them an option for pregnancy.
At North West Fertility we are here to discuss your options when it comes to Donor Eggs treatment, whether acquiring donation from the UK or overseas.

When is donor egg treatment considered?
The common reasons to consider using donor eggs include:
- Previous failed IVF with poor response to stimulation or poor quality eggs
- Poor ovarian reserve – premature menopause, previous medical treatment, severe endometriosis
- Advanced age of the woman ( treatment not advised after 44)
- Carrier of a genetic condition.
What is the process for obtaining Donor Eggs?
For couples who wish to use donor gametes there are a number of options available. At North West fertility we can offer patients the options of eggs donated in the UK under the strict regulations of the HFEA to a licensed clinic that are readily available.
Alternatively some patients may seek to undertake treatment with eggs abroad. At NWF the clinicians have had a long relationship with specialist clinics overseas (Spain and Cyprus) that screen their donors in accordance with the UK but are able to offer a wider choice of donors which may be a requirement for some couples.
At North West Fertility we are happy to discuss these options with couples to identify the optimal treatment for them
